Up for auction is a Vintage Olds Recording Bb Trumpet made in Los Angeles. There are 2 near the leadpipe water key one bigger than the other as 2nd looks kind of like a scratch and last one on the end of 3rd slide which I actually just noticed when making photos as it is really small hard to see( should be seen on photo as horn lays down on the case with bell towards you) There is some tarnish in few areas but it`s all surface I noticed 3 small dings which I tried to show on photos. It was just cleaned home method washed in and out before listing on ebay but it really was not that dirty inside at all and even top corks and felts were clean. Compression in great and all parts are moving fine. This cornet yes it does have some wear and scratches from age but it does not appear to be played that much as all mechanical condition is fine. Please just look at photos and you will see what I`m talking about and where the pipes go. This cornet features totally unusual design I have never seen before. I previously sold a Super Recording trumpet from this period and it went for $1000 more than I`m selling this cornet. more ERA! The leather could use a cleaning and buffing and the interior could use a'dry cleaning' to eliminate a slight mustiness. The case is original I believe and in good condition as the hinges are strong, the latches snap like new, the leather handle looks new, the threaded cording running around both sides is totally intact without tears.

Overall eye appeal is very good, I'd give it an 80% Playability is excellent, has a big sound and is very easy blowing. Upon close inspection, 1) there are two noticeable small dents along the Main tube leading to the bell 2) there are minor bruises at the neck of the cane facing the player 3) the 2nd valve slide pearl is visible but sheared flat 4) at the main slide spit valve one of the spring supports is out of alignment causing the cork key to move if jostled(minor repair but important) 5) finally, there is loss of lacquer due to aging, pitting and some minor scratches.

All slides move properly 3rd slide has trigger finger.
